Day 6
So... tomorrow is the day that I am actually suppose to way in, I will post that in the morning. Today I did really well. I really watched my portions today :) For breakfast I had half a bowl of granola (we ran out) and a banana. For lunch I had 1 piece of healthier homemade pizza and a fat free pudding. For dinner I made chicken over rice, but I had a pretty smal portion and a big portion of lima beans (I didn't eat them all though, trying to get use to their taste) and a piece of bread. Brock, Ky, and I then went on a really long and hard walk. The walk had a lot of really big, big hills. We walked for an hour and it was really great! We will see what happens on the scale tomorrow!

Day 5
Today was a great day! I started out the morning by eating a bowl of granola. I then had a peach for a snack. For lunch I had a tuna fish sandwich and a one serving size of chips (not the best, but I watched how many I ate). We had a barbecue at Brock's parents house and I had a hamburger with lettuce, a little portion of baked beans, and a little portion of potato salad. We were celebrating my father-in-laws birthday so I had a tiny piece of carrot cake. I was not able to get my exercises in, but I did the best I could today. This next week will be better. Tomorrow will be time to weigh in!

Day 4
Today was an okay day. It is the best I've done dieting on a weekend anyways. For breakfast I had granola. I then had a snack with kyson. My snack was an apple. For lunch I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a small handful of chips. For dinner I made pork tenderloin, rice, and green beans. Where I went wrong was dessert. We got some ice cream, but I did get a small ice cream cone, so I feel better about my decision. I really need to be smarter about the sweets though. What's silly is that I didn't even really want the ice cream, I just got cause. I need to learn to say no!!! I did get quite a bit of exercises today though. We helped my dad move some furniture to the storage unit, it took a lot of time and muscle. Brock did most of the muscle, but I helped when I could. Tomorrow I want to make sure that I don't eat past 6.
Day 3
Yesterday was a good day. I was exhausted last night and not able to blog. For breakfast I had granola. I then had an apple for a snack. For lunch I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. For dinner I made homemade pizza, but I was light on the cheese and pepperoni. I only had 1 1/2 pieces. Brock and I were exhausted last night but we went for a little walk around the temple with Kyson, it was really neat! Hopefully tomorrow I can do a little better.

Day 2
Today was a very good day. I started out this morning by having a bowl of granola. What I love about granola is that it tastes great and keeps me full. For lunch I had a peanut butter sandwich, an apple, and a cucumber. For dinner I had a fairly healthy pasta dish. The pasta dish is just very lean hamburger, bow tie pasta, tomato sauce, tomatoes, spinach, and mozzarella cheese. I feel that I did very well today. One thing that I need to work on though is my portions. I did good for breakfast and lunch but dinner was hard.... I went back for seconds. I will do better tomorrow though. Brock and I moved around the upstairs room which I felt was great exercise. We were going to take Ky for a walk but we had so much homework to do and were not able to do so. My goal for tomorrow is to be better about my portions and make sure that I get enough exercises. Goal weight, here I come!

Day 1
Today was a pretty good day. For breakfast I had a small bowl of cereal. Brock and I had planned on going on a drive through the Nebo loop in the mustang and it was a lot of fun. We decided that to help us be healthy and stay on track that we would by healthy snacks to eat while we were in the car. We bought water, grapes, apples and granola bars. We had lunch at my grandparents house and I had a tuna fish sandwich. Later, I had a cheese stick and a low calorie pudding for a snack. My dad really wanted to take Brock and I out for dinner, so we went to a little place called China Lily. I wanted to make smart choices, so I decided that for my entree I wanted to have the mixed vegetables. I also had a little bit of fried rice, chicken, and a small salad. We did however have a little ice cream. I'm a little disappointed about having ice cream. We went to Sub Zero ice cream though and I had them use Yogurt which had 0% fat rather then the premium which had 18%. I feel that although I may not have ate exactly as I would of liked today, I did make healthier choices. Brock and I took Kyson on a walk around the neighborhood. It was not are usual long walk because Kyson was exhausted and we both have a lot of homework, but hey we still got some exercise in! I think that we are heading in the right direction!

Introduction
I have been on numerous diets trying to shed the pounds and have succeeded a couple of times just to have the weight come back on. I just had my sweet little boy Kyson almost a year ago and have decided that I truly want to be healthy for him, my husband and all of my future children! I also want to lose weight for myself. I miss how good I felt when I was at a good weight and hate how I feel now. I am losing weight along with my husband Brock and were doing it together! We are eating healthier and exercising. My doctor once told me that the best way to lose weight is to eat half of what I would normally eat. He said never to eliminate foods from your diet, but to eat smaller portions. That is what Brock and I are doing. We are watching what we are eating and watching are portions. Along with exercise I feel that Brock and I will succeed in our goals. My ultimate goal is to weigh 150 a year from now. I feel though that rather then focusing on that goal, I need to make little goals which is what I will do. As of right now I weigh 216, my first goal is to weigh 206. I hope to accomplish this goal by July 15. I feel that by accomplishing the small goals and enjoying the small successes, I will eventually make it to my ultimate goal. So, here we go!!
